1. Ability to Self Diagnose any Underlying Conditions (possibly resulting in delay of diagnosis and treatment)
• Concerns were raised that ED can be a precursor symptom of more serious underlying disease and that self management of ED could risk delay in diagnosis and treatment of the underlying disease • ED can be a precursor symptom of Cardiovascular disease (CVD) and/or diabetes • BUT awareness in men of this association is low, with ED seen as a sexual problem and not an indicator of overall health status
