Northern Ireland

The UK Government has guaranteed unfettered access for Northern Ireland’s businesses to the rest of the UK internal market, this guarantee includes medical devices. This means that any conformity mark held by a Northern Ireland business that validates a device for sale on the Northern Ireland market is valid for the whole of the UK market. Therefore, presently, Northern Ireland businesses will be able to place CE-marked devices on the GB market after July 2025.
