Pro • Intensive planning identifies some GAPs in advance • Development Process tends to be better documented • Linear process is easier to understand and follow; teams fell often more comfortable with this approach Cons • Waterfall process requires tons of requirements in advance • Planning and system design takes a lot of effort and time • Change requests may occur during late phases • Changes have significant impact on project success • It’s hard to make decisions on the late phases • Waterfall can be applied in extremely difficult projects, like nuclear power plant, space ships, medicine*
