Clause 10 Events/Meetings and Hospitality

• Companies may hold, sponsor, or support delegates to attend events/meetings. Any event/meeting must:

• have a clear educational content

• have an appropriate venue; not extravagant or deluxe

• subsistence (food and drink, max £75 pp), accommodation and travel costs must be strictly limited to the main purpose of the event/meeting • companies must not sponsor, support or organise entertainment (such as sporting or leisure activities etc) • when sponsoring meetings, company must be clearly disclosed in all material e.g. invitations, agenda, slides

• Note, pay particular attention to international events

• The organistion of meetings must meet the local Code of Practice and UK Code if there are UK attendees • Promotional material at the meeting should comply with local Code
