Prior to January 1 st 2020, the UK was involved in the ICH process by being part of the EU. At the June 2021 meeting of ICH, the MHRA were granted “observer” status. The MHRA now has Full Regulatory Membership. The UK is still following EU guidelines. It is anticipated that some UK guidelines will be written over the next few years to cover issues NOT already covered by these guidelines.
